This recipe may seem too simplistic to be on a food blog, but there are moments when you want to throw something together which is healthy but also tastes good. And, this simple fruit salad flavored with Sri Lankan cinnamon does the trick, especially on a warm afternoon somewhere between lunch and tea-time. It's worth a quick share for anyone who is busy. And that's everyone, these days.
You can use any fruit you like, but I prefer the combination of guavas and apples in September, bejeweled with tangy bursts of pomegranate. I first experienced cinnamon with fruit on a trip to the hills, where the home-stay chef served it to us and we were all guessing what the secret ingredient was! The cinnamon awakens the soul, gives it a hug, and the fruit refreshes. I've been using it since then to elevate otherwise boring fruit. Have you tried it before?

This recipe serves 2-3 persons.

Guava - 2
Apple - 1
